Evidence-based assessments for children, young people and adults. Led by experienced professionals, explained clearly, and shaped around the person behind the referral.
Many families believe a diagnosis only counts if it comes from the NHS. What actually matters is whether the assessment follows NICE guidance. That is precisely the standard we hold ourselves to at Wise Mind Clinic. As a small, independent clinic, we can give every family the time, attention and care an assessment like this deserves.
At Wise Mind Clinic, every assessment combines recognised clinical standards with the time and care needed to understand the whole person. We listen closely, explain clearly and create reports designed to be useful in real life.
Evidence-led. Assessment pathways informed by recognised UK guidance and standardised tools.
Person-centred. A calm, respectful process shaped around individual communication and support needs.
Practical. Clear findings, meaningful recommendations and time to understand the next steps.
Every assessment is built around the person in front of us, not a checklist. Each one also follows a recognised, evidence-based framework.
Structured observation (including ADOS-2) combined with developmental history, for children, young people and adults.
Comprehensive attention and executive function assessment, drawing on standardised tools and real-world observation.
Where profiles overlap, our clinicians work together to build one coherent picture rather than separate, conflicting reports.
A specific learning difficulty assessment identifying dyslexia, reported in a way that supports school, exam access arrangements and EHCP processes.
Once you have a report, we help you understand what it means and where to take it next, including EHCP-ready documentation.
Tell us about your child, or yourself, and what's prompted the enquiry. No question is too small.
A clinician reviews history and current concerns, and confirms the right assessment pathway for you.
A structured, evidence-based assessment carried out by a clinician trained in that specific tool.
A clear written report explaining what we found, what it means, and what may help next. No glossary required.
A conversation to walk through the report together, and signpost the support available next.
Every family works with two roles at Wise Mind Clinic: someone who guides your journey, and the registered clinician who reaches the diagnosis.
Renata is the Founder and CEO of Wise Mind Clinic, bringing more than two decades of experience supporting families through the UK SEND system. She holds a BSc (Hons) in Psychology (GMBPsS), is a Private Portage Methods Practitioner, IPSEA-trained, and an ADOS-2 Assistant Assessor. She works closely with Mrs Marineide Pina, a contracted Clinical & Educational Psychologist, throughout every family's assessment journey, in English and Portuguese.
Diagnostic decisions are made by Mrs Marineide Pina, the clinic's Clinical & Educational Psychologist, working closely with Renata throughout the assessment.
Mrs Pina is a contracted, HCPC-registered Clinical and Educational Psychologist responsible for all diagnostic decisions at Wise Mind Clinic. She carries out autism, ADHD and dyslexia assessments, and prepares the diagnostic reports families receive.
Assessment pathways are aligned with NICE guidance for autism (CG142/QS51), ADHD (NG87) and recognised frameworks for dyslexia and other specific learning difficulties.
"Parents don't need a diagnosis handed to them. they need to feel heard, and to leave with something they can actually use."
It depends on the pathway, but most families move from enquiry to a finished report within a few weeks, not months. We will give you a realistic timeline at your initial consultation.
Wise Mind Clinic is a private service, chosen by families who want a faster, unhurried assessment. We can advise how a private report sits alongside NHS pathways.
